Breaks are needed, use them wisely! (A Nexeus Update)

contemplating

Everyone takes a vacation from their virtual world activities.  It’s possibly the only reason to stay sane.  The past two weeks I’ve found myself in Second Life less, but secretly working on several Second Life projects.  When I take a break from Second Life, I don’t just take a break, I do all of my gigs, I prepare for them, I hang out a wee bit, but usually I log off soon after doing a gig so that I can focus my attention on other things, such as projects and the real life.  So during this break, what have I been up to?  A whole lot.

First, lets start with the Second Life Community Convention.  There has been a lot of activity going on behind the scenes.  Early this week I’ll be posting the current mini-tracks that were approved for the conference, including some additional news.  Things are really working early this year, we have a lot of momentum and a lot has been put properly into place.  It makes me happy to see a project going so well!

Next has been a secret radio project.  In the past I’ve fooled around with having my own radio station.  I’ve gone through several options and have found a great option (thanks to my friends over at Catalistpro.com.)  I am planning on returning with nf radio., along with several other radio based projects (stay tuned).

There are several, really interesting Second Life projects that I’ve been working on.  One deals with the news.  For people who send out press-releases or submit news items to people in Second Life, please do contact me.  I need to ask you a few questions and really pick your brain.  The other really interesting project I have is going to be an open-source project that is geared towards merchants and artists.  The code is in the works right now, and I hope to release it by the end of April.

Lastly, there has been some changes going on with apex-high studio.  My original concept for the brand did not fit with my vision.  While it is still active, the mission is being refocused to better represent what is being done with it.

So, there you have it, I’ve been busy!  There is some great stuff lined up though.
